ROMILA JOGDAND

After pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Architecture in Mumbai, India, Romila’s lifelong love of nature and plants led her to move to the United States and study landscape architecture. She holds a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of New Mexico. She soon moved to the Bay Area and has been exploring all that the Bay Area has to offer.

Romila joined Jenna Bayer Garden Design in the fall of 2013. She started as an intern and slowly climbed her way into being one of the core designers in the office. Romila worked on a wide range of projects and realized that the residential design offered the most creative freedom, attention to detail, and the ability to directly make a positive impact on people's lives. She is particularly drawn to landscapes with a timeless feel. Every day she feels inspired by the people around her- especially her colleagues, friends, family, her husband, and her new puppy Meadow.

She enjoys being outdoors and anything that gets her into or near the water. Swimming in the ocean is her happy place! Romila has an interest in traveling across Europe, Asia, and South America. Travel and her experiences have always been Romila’s inspiration for design. Her wishes are to hike Machu Picchu, Patagonia, and visit Chelsea Flower Show in London! Romila also loves reading classic and contemporary fiction.
